Welcome to Baba's Pantry! We're here to share the vibrant flavors of Palestine—right in the heart of Kansas City.

Our story began in 2000, when Baba first introduced his love for Palestinian food to the local community. A pioneer in bringing hummus to Kansas City, he was often found offering samples in grocery stores across the metro, sharing its roots and health benefits—long before it became a household staple. His passion eventually led to his products being stocked in Whole Foods stores nationwide.

In 2021, with the support of friends, family, and the community he helped build, Baba opened the doors to Baba's Pantry—a space where he could finally cook freely and share his story through food. After years of working in partnership with others, he was able to become independent and create a home for his own unique dishes and products.

What makes Baba's Pantry special is how our food reflects the experience of living in the diaspora as Palestinian Americans. It's deeply rooted in tradition, yet shaped by the creativity and resourcefulness that come with being immigrants. While dishes like hummus and falafel stay close to home, others—like our shawarma and kebabs—reflect how we've adapted to what's available, often sparking beautiful cross-cultural connections along the way.
